World Internet Day is an event celebrated throughout South America and much of the world.
Held on October 29 for the first time in 2005, participants in countries such as Mexico, Argentina, Spain and Venezuela use discussions, campaigns and initiatives to promote awareness, knowledge and use of the internet and its potential.
The major aim of World Internet Day is to show the possibilities of new technologies and how we can improve standards of living through them.
Martin Bullock Lawyers always uses the latest technology and is proud to announce our new client recognition system. Law Connect allows you, the client, to log in and:
- Look at your file
- Download your documents
- Stay up to date with changes in the law
- Take advantage of new technology, information and methodologies
As fantastically useful as the internet may be, it comes with its own risks. In March, we published an article about doxxing and the dangers the internet can pose. Be safe when using the internet. Watch out for scams. Develop relationships with trustworthy companies, organisations, legal firms, charities, etc.
Be aware of the risks. Check out this link for ways to celebrate World Internet Day and to protect yourself as you use new technologies.
And remember – the internet is not just for cats.
