To have another inquiry into Family Law run by Pauline Hanson is unnecessary, expensive, and divisive.
Family Law is not in crisis. Society is simply changing.
We do not need yet another inquiry. It is clear we need:
- Sufficient funding to eliminate unnecessary delays;
- To keep the Family Court and the Federal Circuit Courts separate;
- To ensure that children are the focus in children’s matters, and not their parents’ disagreements; and
- To increase the number of Costs Orders made in financial matters, thereby encouraging early-stage settlements.
