Have you been left out of a Will? Are you thinking of leaving someone out of a Will?
Greg Martin, principal at Martin Bullock Lawyers, says:
Families can be torn apart by Wills. Many people are unaware of their rights to claim under a Will. The value of property in Sydney has meant that, whilst testators often try to leave their assets equally to their children, they can’t do so because one property may be worth more than another.
Similarly, as people live longer, and particularly when they reside in nursing homes and pay accommodation bonds, the unequal treatment of children can create bitterness and division.
