In our new series “We Love Parramatta”, we highlight Parramatta’s many histories and cultures.
This week we look at Parramasala Festival, returning this Friday for its tenth year.
Parramasala celebrates the vibrant cross-section of cultures both in Parramatta and in Sydney as a whole, from South American to Middle Eastern, Indigenous Australian to South East Asian, and everything in between.
This three-day festival attracts 35,000 visitors each year, providing a wide variety of activities including live music, art and dance workshops, world movies by the river, a spectacular parade of colour, and tasty cuisines from Australia and all around the world.
Parramasala is happening in Parramatta CBD (Church Street and Prince Alfred Square) this Friday, 15 March to Sunday, 17 March 2019.
We are proud of Parramatta’s diversity, and we love to celebrate its many wonderful cultures!
